Employment
Since graduating I worked initially as a Graphic Designer for ITT (International) and The Urban Centre for Alternative Technology but I soon broke free to follow a path of freelance work as a designer, cartoonist/illustrator and sign writer.
Parallel to my work as a painter and for over twenty years, I was employed as a part time tutor for Aberystwyth and Swansea Universities; Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot Councils; Carmarthenshire, Neath and Swansea Colleges.
I’ve undertaken numerous illustration commissions for organisations such as The National Museum of Wales, Brecon Beacons National Park and Dyfed Archaeological Trust and for ten years, along with my artist wife Elizabeth Brickell, I was a business partner in FineArtBanners, designing large scale flags for UK wide festivals.
From 2014 until October 2021, I worked part time with men who had suffered brain injuries.
